– Jesus, your disciples stood in awe of your power to rebuke the raging storm.
“What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him,” they said.
Jesus, you are the image of the invisible God, you created all things in heaven and in earth and you existed before all things. Creator God, you became the perfect man. The perfect Lamb of God sacrificed for sin. By your shed blood you have reconciled all things and we have peace with God. By faith in your sacrificial death we have redemption and forgiveness of sin.
Yes you calmed the raging storm of life. Rescued us from drowning in sin. Left us with your Spirit, the same Spirit that raised you from the dead, dwells in us by faith. By faith we are the children of God. One day you will redeem our bodies and the earth. The curse of sin will be completely healed.
So while we wait, we come before your throne and cry, “Father God, speak now to the storm.”
And you give peace.
